Many owners of Mercedes-Benz C-class (W204) with a direct injection of CGI face the problem of gasoline entering oil. It is seen on models with engine 271 (C180, C200 and C250). Symptoms of a failure in this case are:
- The oil level is at or above the MAX mark.
- The oil dog smells like gasoline.
- At the start of the engine, after long parking, the detonation is felt.
- It's hard to run a car.
- Activating the CHECK ENGINE indicator.
In many cases, the replacement of fuel injectors, with filter and probe oil helps to overcome the problem. It is also possible to try to correct the malfunction of the reupholstery of the engine and of the carton.
