The automatic transmission of Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 allows you to customize the highest gear. For example, in Mode 3, the box will toggle only between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear. The higher transfer setup is done by switching the selector to a + or-. On a 5.7-litre engine, the high gear lock mode also allows for additional reduction gear which is not used in normal mode. This makes it possible to provide better navigation quality and cooling efficiency of the engine when coupled to the trailer or on the rise.
