The headlights of the car, especially the front, are constantly taking the blow of the element. They get water, mud, sand, reagents, small stones. During the winter period, the headlights are clean by a rigid brush or a scraper, in the summer they heat up in the open sun. All this, of course, does not benefit the transparent part of the headlamp, which can be made of glass or solid plastic. Plastic lamps, which are more exposed to wear and tear, are found in modern vehicles.
However, even the most amable and yellowed lamp can be polished. Plastic and glass polishing technologies differ, but experience and skills are required in both cases.
1. Plastic lamp polishing. The polishing will require a sandpaper, a polishing machine, a poly disc, a finish polyrole, water, and a painting. The procedure consists of the following steps:
1.1. Spell the perimeter of the headlamp to ensure that the coating of the body is not damaged during polishing.
1.2. Spolish the headlight with sandpaper, by copping it with water.
1.3. To dry the headlight with a soft cloth after the sandpaper.
1.4. Apply a polyrole to the headlight.
1.5. Begin polishing the headlamp with a disc on a low speed disc so that the headlamp is not overpaid by overheating. You don't have to push it too hard.
1.6. After the polishing is complete, we need to clean the headlamp with an anti-static additive.
2. Glass lamp polishing. As a general rule, the process of operating on a glass unit appears to be rather deep, as it is impossible to remove the usual polishing. The process of repair of the glass headlamp shall be as follows:
2.1. Headlamp needs to be removed
2.2. Process the headlamp with a rough abrasive disc mounted on a bleflight machine. The size of the abrasion grain depends on the degree of damage to the headlamp. The more damage it is, the bigger the grain. At this point, we can't rush. The headlamp needs to be processed slowly and slowly.
2.3. The next stage is to process the smaller abrasives.
2.4. The final stage is finish polish.
All work on the polishing of headlamps (whether plastic or glass) must be carried out in the respirator, as plastic or glass dust is summer in the process of polishing and polishing. To increase the life of the headlamp, the varnish or the transparent "armour" shall be applied to the varnish.
