To start the KIA Rio III engine equipped with a Start button instead of the ignition switch, press the brake and the Start button at the same time. If you just want to switch the ignition on to a position that allows you to use the electrical equipment of the passenger compartment (equivalent to the ignition locking system), just click on the Start button. The ignition will turn on, and the engine will not start. In this mode, you can use the window-lifts, the sprinkler receptacle, or the rear view mirror.
