Citroen C4 is a rather rigid rear suspension, which is a problem in its operation on Russian roads. The solution to the problem is to replace the factory absorbers and the spring with the more "soft"-long. In order to replace the rear shock absorbers, lift the rear wheel. Remove the rear wheel. Then remove the top of the shock absorber by removing the two screws. Next, remove the lower retaining screw of the shock absorber (if necessary, peel the nut that holds the post to the shock absorber, tighten it in the clutches and twist it).To tighten the 60 ± 6 Nm from the bottom of the shock absorber. Working time is 1.5 hours.

  1. In order to replace the rear shock absorbers, the vehicle must be raised and secured with the rear wheels.
  2. Remove the rear wheel.
  3. Then remove the upper leg of the shock absorber by removing two bolts.
  4. Next, turn on the lower attachment bolt (if necessary, clean out the nut that attaches the support to the shock absorber, clutch it in the clutch, and roll it off).
  5. Collect everything in reverse order.
  6. Tightening the lower retaining screw of the shock absorber to 60 ± 6 Nm.
  7. Working time is 1.5 hours.
