The manual gearbox does not have a back transmission synchronizer, so it is more difficult to turn on. This applies not only to Chevrolet Aveo, but also to other vehicles with the ILC. To avoid a crunchism, you need to wait between 2 and 3 seconds after a complete stop of the car, and then turn on the back gear. Another way is to squeeze the clutch, turn on the first or third gear, and not the clutch, the back.
