
The adaptation of the safety-belt on the Mercedes S-Class (W221) is part of the PRE-SAFE system and allows the front seat belts to adapt to the figure of the driver and passenger. During adaptation, the belt is lengthening slightly when it is clicked and the key is rotated to position 2. If the system recognizes the gap between the driver and the belt, the length of the belt is adjusted. To disable this feature, you must: Press the "left" or "right" button on the handlebar to select the "Preferences" menu. Then the "Up" or "Down" arrows are selected "Adjust Seat Belt".Click OK to enable or disable the adaptation function again.
- Press the left or right button on the handlebar to select the "Preferences" menu.
- Then the up or down arrows select "Seat belt adjustment".
- Press OK.
- Click OK again to enable or disable the adaptation feature.
