Many car owners are thinking about installing the GBT on their car. However, this idea is only allowed before the implementation of this idea, because most of them stop the question: "Do you want to remove the car from the guarantee after the installation of the gas-coil equipment?" But how legitimate are the dealer's threats? Can the car be removed from the guarantee if GBT is installed on it?

The main document regulating this issue is the federal law on consumer protection. Let' s start with the fact that neither this law nor any other prohibits the installation of additional equipment for your car. That is, by buying a car, you can put everything on it on the same day (the main thing is that it is "anything" was certified in Russia and did not pose a threat to road safety).

However, notice that the dealer can only recommend the installation of additional equipment in its service, but make you do it only in your own service. The GTO installation may be carried out by any technical centre that has a certificate for carrying out such work. In addition, the gas equipment itself that you want to install must be certified. Please ask the firm to present these documents before you put GBT in.

Please note that every new car you buy from a dealer has two types of warranty: the manufacturer's guarantee (one for all) and the dealer's guarantee (its terms may be different, they are described in detail in the sales contract). Accordingly, the dealer may only strip you of your dealer's guarantee!

Also note that the installation of GTO is not a dealer's right to deprive you of the guarantee for the entire car. Warranty obligations may cease to apply only to the nodes and aggregates that have failed as a result of the intervention. In other words, the installation of GBT may deprive you of the guarantee of a fuel system, but not as a LCP.

However, even this partial withdrawal of the guarantee is possible only after an independent examination, in which three parties are involved: you, the dealer and the company established by the GBT.

If after the installation of GBT the dealer denies service to you or the warranty repair, require a written failure indicating the exact cause, and then suggest that an independent expert review be performed. Very often dealers, legally forged and confident in their legal ownership, immediately "give the reverse" and without problems fulfill their warranty obligations.
