To dismantle and install the filament light on the diesel engine, a long head under the M10 nut has to be used. Also, the replacement shall be done only by using the dynamometric key.
Dismantling of candles is as follows:
- Remove the wire from the candle.
- Clean the candle well with compressed air;
- Resolve the candle by any means of removal ("liquid key"), wait 10 to 15 minutes or other time as specified on the tool;
- To take out a small amount of motor oil in the candle well, wait 5 minutes;
- With the help of a special head and key to return the candles, it must be done smoothly, avoiding shock loads.
- Clear the location of the candlelight;
- With the help of a dynamometric key, new candles shall be fitted, with a load of 15 +/-Nm.
In exchange, new candles should be of the same type as those installed on the engine. SsangYong Kyron total used two types of candles, marked with a green or yellow color ring in the insulator.
