The big oil consumption on the 1.8 TSI engines is normal. These are the engines of the Superb and the Volkswagen Passat, and they also consume a lot of oil on these models. However, this problem concerns only the CDAB engine version. Other versions-BZB and CDAA use oil much more modest.

The Octavia's operating instructions say that the allowable oil flow rate is approximately half a litre per 1,000 km of mileage. At the same time, the engine consumption of more than 600 ml indicates malfunctioning or incorrect operation.

The most common consumption of oil is the 2009-2010 automobile production. In motor vehicles of 2011, the motors were changed, so the oil consumption does not exceed the norm.

The problem can be solved by replacing the piston group.

The reasons for the increased flow may be as follows:

Failed or failed with new car run-in. During the period of the rundown, the excess flow-up to 0.5l/1000 km-is normal.

Turbated engines are poorly adapted to long-running idling (for example, in traffic) and at too high speed (on the track). This may have an impact on the increase in oil consumption.

In addition, the level of oil should be checked as often as possible and, if necessary, millet it. The light bulb shall not light up.

It is possible to try to reduce the cost by replacing the motor oil with higher quality (Mootul, Liquii Moli). It also helps fill the oil with a different tolerance level (instead of 504-502).

In other cases, for example, the installation of a different type of the other type, judging by the feedback of the owners, does not produce the result.
