For the different Nissan engines of the second generation, the manufacturer makes different recommendations.
- For the HER2DDT (1.2) engine, unleaded petrol with a octane number not less than 95 (no less than AI-95).
- For the MR20DD engine (2.0), unleaded fuel with a octane number of at least 91 (AI-92 or higher).
- For R9M (1.6) engine, the diesel fuel with a cetane number above 51 and with a sulphur content of less than 10 ppm (EN590 and Euro-5).
