
Remove the front cover of the HBCD on the Mercedes S-Class (W221) in this sequence:
- Ran engine protection.
- Cooling coolant from the heat sink and cylinder block (1).
- Take a catalyst (2) off the exhaust manifold.
- We're taking off the air filter.
- Unwind the engine control unit (N3/10).
- The air pump (M33) and the pump arm shall be removed.
- Disconnect the air stop valve (4) on the right head of HBO (5).
- Remove the belt (8) and the roller (9).
- Demonstrate the guide tube (12) of the oil probe.
- Remove the front cover (6) of the right HBO.
- Clean the ignition (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/ 4).
- The intake manifold (3).
- Remove the right valve cover (7).
- Rotates the shaft for the center bolt up to 400 after the top of the dead end.
- We're taking off the chains.
- Unwind the two mechanisms for changing the phases of gas distribution (10).
- Pull the fingers of the tranquilizer and the tension bar (11g, 11s).
- Loosin and twit the HBCD bolts in the required order.
- We're taking the right to HBO.
- Cleaning up the surface, checking the seal of the cylinder head.
- We're going backwards. Moleces of bolts: Connection of the catalyst and exhaust manifold-25 Nm, the HBP to the GRM crankcase-15 Nm, the HC to the cylinder block-40 Nm.
- The oil and oil filter shall be changed after the work is completed.
