The VAZ car, like any other car, has many different sensors, each of which somehow affects the state and stable operation of the car. The list of main sensors that can be installed on VAZ vehicles (2105, 2106, 2107, 2108, 2109, 21099, 2110, 2111, 2112, 2113, 2114, 2115, Kalina, Prior, etc.) is as follows: sensor (governor) of idle, mass air flow sensor, coolant temperature sensor, crankcase position sensor, throttle position sensor, detonation sensor, oxygen sensor (lambda probe), phase sensor (distribution shaft position), oil pressure sensor, oil pressure sensor, fuel level sensor, brake fluid level sensor, brake fluid level sensor, coolant level sensor.

Idling sensor (governor). This sensor is responsible for the steady operation of the idling engine. The engine control unit shall receive engine speed information, analyse it and, if necessary, command the engine to reduce or increase the fuel supply. This supports the speed of the revolution at idle speed. At idling problems, the test usually begins with the idle sensor. On the cars of the VAZ the idling sensor is located at the throttle opposite side of the gas rope.

Air mass flow sensor. This sensor shall measure the amount of air flowing into the cylinders as well as the reaction time. All of the VAZ models are thermobarometer DMRs. The sensitive sensor element is a thin film with sensors located on it and a heating resistor. It is important to maintain the clean air mass flow sensor because the contaminated sensor will emit wrong indicators. VAZ vehicles are located on the air filter body, next to the large intake manifold.

Temperature sensor of the coolant. The sensor records the temperature of the AJ in the cooling system, transmits the information to the ECU, which in turn adjusts the composition of the fuel-air mixture, the speed of the ignition, etc. The basis of the temperature sensor of the coolant temperature sensor is a thermistor, that is, a resistor that can change the resistance depending on temperature. The temperature sensor of the coolant temperature (engine temperature sensor) on the VAZ is located at the inlet outlet of the cooling jacket for the cylinder unit.

The crankshaft position sensor. This sensor sends information to the engine control unit indicating the position of the pistons in cylinders. The ECU signal is a series of impedents that are generated when the shaft is rotated. The BCPR is one of the few sensors to break the engine. The position of the crankshaft position on the VAZ is in close proximity to the generator's pulley.

The throttle position sensor. Sensor measures the degree and speed of the throttle opening. The SDA is a potentiometer and has three outputs: the first voltage is energized (5V), the second is connected to the mass, and the third control unit receives a signal. The sensor is located on the same axis as the throttle itself, and when the voltage is rotated, the stress on the DSDS is changed.

Speed sensor. The sensor is responsible for measuring the speed of the vehicle, transmits the information to the ECU and directly affects the speedometer readings. The speed sensor on VAZ vehicles is installed directly on the gearbox. The most common symptom of a VAZ speed sensor failure is idling or an incorrectly working speedometer.

Detonation sensor. This sensor monitors the possibility of detonation-a dangerous and destructive thing for the engine. The sensor itself cannot prevent a detonation, it only warns the ECU about its appearance. The work of the sensor is based on piezoeffect: when the detonation occurs, the cylinder block starts vibrating, and at the end of the piezoelectric plate is the difference of potential. The detonation sensor is mounted directly on the cylinder block.

Oxygen sensor (lambda-probe). This right is referred to as one of the "senses" of the VU, it measures the amount of oxygen, and this information is used by the engine control unit to form a fuel-air mixture. Two Lambda probes are installed on vehicles with Euro 3 environmental requirements: one is placed before the catalyst and the other is after and controls the catalytic converter.

Phase sensor (location of position). This sensor records the angular position of the distribution shaft at each time and passes this information to the ECU for the control of the injection and ignition processes. The position sensor is connected to the crankshaft position sensor. The phase transducer (distribution shaft position) of the VAZ vehicles is located near the HC cover on the side of the air filter.

The unsteady road sensor. One of the few sensors that does not directly affect the engine operation but has a protective function. It records vertical swings of the body and allows the ECU not to correct misfiring when driving on the uneven road (the risk of false posies). The uneven road sensor on the VAZ has been placed under a cup in the area of the right spray.

The oil pressure sensor. The sensor allows for continuous monitoring of the oil level in the engine oil system in real time. If the oil pressure falls below the acceptable level, an indicator-further movement with such an indicator cannot be lit on the instrument panel-is unacceptable, as it can cause serious breakdowns and even major repairs to the engine. On the 8 valve engines VAZ, the oil pressure sensor is located to the right below the valve cover, and on the 16 valve engines on the left side of the expansion enclosure.

Fuel level sensor. This sensor monitors the level of petrol in the tank and informs the driver in good time that there is not enough fuel in the tank. For measurements to be the most accurate, the fuel level sensor is placed directly in the tank. In the case of WAGs for space savings, the sensor is installed with the pump, so if the fuel level sensor is to be replaced, the entire fuel pump will have to be removed.

Brake fluid level sensor. The sensor is an important part of the braking system: it controls the quantity of brake fluid in the brake and, if necessary, signals the reduction. On motor vehicles, the brake fluid level sensor is a floating sensor mounted directly in the ballpoint.

Coolant level sensor. The sensor indicates a reduction in the level of AW in the VAZ refrigeration system. It is a float sensor that is inside of which is the heron. The coolant level sensor on the VAZ is located directly in the expansion bar. There are no VAZ models for this sensor, so the owners prefer to replace the expansion bug with a similar but with a sensor.
