The first generation of BMW 1 is considered to be a flow of about 250 grams per 1,000 km. At the same time, some owners faced higher oil consumption-up to 1 L/1000 km. Statistics on such cases show that the problem is about 5-10% of cars. Sometimes the cause may be the use of poor quality oil. The wear and tear of the oil cap may also be common among the common causes (the problem could start at about 100,000. km of mileage) or piston wheels. In some cases, the increased flow rate is eliminated by cleaning/replacing the crankcase ventilation valve or replacement of the gaskets and the gaskets.
