The failure of the silencer is a problem for Peugeot 206. The metal from which the tailpipe of the 206th model is made, including the silencer, does not well transport the effects of the reagents and starts to rust and then rot. As a rule, the original silencer lasts only two or three years. In part, the problem is solved by replacing the silencer with a non-original, made of more reliable material.
