To remove the Mazda 3 (I) fuel pump unit, you must: Remove the fuel tank cap. Remove the fuel pump cover, remove the fuel pump cap. Remove the fuel pump unit. Align the fuel pump with the fuel pump with a special device from 80 to 90 Nm without offsets the installation marks. Replace the fuel pump cover and the gasket or the fuel tank if the fuel tank is not reached.
- Disconnect the ASB and remove the fuel tank.
- Also remove the Quick Connector.
- Remove the lid of the fuel pump by using a special device.
- Remove the fuel pump unit.
- Align the labels on the fuel pump and fuel tank.
- Tighend the cover of the fuel pump by means of a special device from 80 to 90 Nm, without allowing the removal of the installation marks.
- Replace the fuel pump cover and the gasket or the fuel tank if the specified delay is not reached.
