Mercedes S-class (W221) with AirMatic system possible installation of a different amount of ground clearance.
For rear-wheel-drive models:
- It's gonna be fine.
- The increased clearance is approximately 30 mm larger than the normal value.
- The reduced clearing-the-machine is approximately 20 mm compared to the normal level.
For 4Matic models:
- Normal clearance is about 10 mm more comfortable than in sports.
- The increase is in the comfortable mode of the climx by 30 mm, and in sports by 40 mm more than in normal.
- The reduced gap is approximately 20 mm in comfortable mode and 10 mm in sports compared to the normal level.
The ground clearance is as follows:
- Start the engine.
- Press button 1 (if lamp 2 is not lit). The "Auto-lift" appears on the screen.
- Press the button 1 again to set the normal view. The lamp 2 must be extinguded.
- Press the 1 button to select the sports ground. Lamp 2 is lit.
- The transition to a comfortable mode is performed in the same way-lamp 2 must be extinguined.
