Over time, taps may appear when the rudder is rotated, and a play in the steering wheel may appear. There may be several reasons for this. The first is the least serious-worn steering nozzle. They need to be replaced with a couple.
A more serious problem is the deterioration or failure of the steering gear. If this is the case, it will be necessary to have a deflector that can determine whether new parts of the steering gear can be made or whether they need to be changed completely. Sometimes, if wear is a little bit, it's enough to pull the steering gear. If wear is serious, this will increase the effort on the steering wheel in some provisions (the effort will be uneven).
