How do I check the temperature sensor of Hyundai Santa Fe II?

The coolant temperature sensor can be tested in two ways:

-HI-SCAN tester (PRO).

-With a volmeter.

During the scanner, the display temperature shall be accurate to the engine temperature (-20, 0, 20, 40, 80 degrees). When checking the voltmeter sensor, measure the nominal voltage at different temperatures:

-At 0 degrees-4.05 V.

-At 20 degrees-3.44 V.

-At 40 degrees, 2.72 V.

-At 80 degrees-1.25 V.
