To remove the generator from the Caliber, you must do the following: Remove the drive belt with the coolant fluid (no liquid is needed).Roll out the steering wheel and the small oil tank, and then pull one out of the engine. Roll out one of the two bolts of the generator. Remove the battery and the intake manifold of two bolts, remove the GRU and the generator. Now, you can access the second bolt from the generator. It needs to be twisted. Disconnect the terminals from the generator.
- Remove the drive belt.
- Remove a chiller with a coolant fluid (no liquid is needed).
- Remove the steering wheel and small oil tank with the oil, after which they have to be pulled away from the engine.
- Rollback one of the two generator retaining screws.
- Roll up the top spot.
- Remove the battery and intake manifold of two bolts from the intake manifold.
- Remove the heeling element of the GRM and generator.
- Now you have access to the second bolt of the generator bolt. It needs to be twisted.
- Detach the terminals from the generator.
