Location of the oil pressure and temperature sensors on the 1004-generation Audi:
- 4-cylinder modifications-both sensors are on the flange of the oil filter on the left side of the engine.
- 5-cylinder modifications-the pressure sensor is located on the left side of the cylinder block and the temperature sensor in the right front of the motor.
- 6-cylinder modifications-the pressure sensor of the models released before July 1991 is located at the rear of the left side, and the later models on the front left of the cylinder block. The temperature sensor is located on the lower end of the engine on the left.
