Turbothaimer is an electronic programmable device that has the ability to disconnect the engine on its own after a specified time interval after the ignition is switched off. Turbothaimer, as it is clear from the name, provides cars with turbocharged engines, as the red-hot turbine needs to cool down. The turbocharger, controlled by the turbodier, continues to rotate after the engine stops, cooling off and only after that. Engineers believe that by stopping the turbine gradually, it is possible to significantly increase its resource. However, there is a reasonable question-why is the turbine like the engine and other knots unable to calm down? Why do you need to keep spinning after the engine stops? In other words, is it necessary to have a car of turbothymer? Why can't the turbine stop at once?
Why can't the turbine stop at once?
At work, the turbine shaft with its installed wing is rotated at a great speed-up to 150 thousand revolutions per minute, that is thirty-forty times faster than the crankshaft of the engine. The shaft is connected to the body by means of bearings that require lubricant, so the oil circulating system is organized in the turbine which, in addition to the lubricant of the bearings, acts as a coolant for the whole site.

When the engine is stopped, the oil is stopped. The turbine corps is greatly heated during the operation, and if the recycling system is stopped and the retinal roll is instantaneous, the process of equalizing the temperature of all metal parts, some of which is literally red, will be used.
The greatest heat load is experienced by the flyover shaft at the locations of the hull. The end of the shaft has been inserted into the supports, which in the recent past have generally been based on bearings (brass tats or other materials). Naturally, there is a very real risk of "burnout" oil on the inner surfaces of the bearings of the valet. Met, oil becomes resinous and stays inside bearings in the form of sediment. They are capable of making the whole mechanism out of order. If, first, slow the rotation of the turbine by giving the engine idle speed (the speed of the circulation becomes minimal, as no pressure is required at the idle system), the oil turning system will not turn off and efficiently cool the hot parts.

Part of the problem has been solved. For example, the well-known manufacturer of the turbine company, Garrett, makes the support based on closed sharik bearings, in which the rotor rotates in a closed oil bath. It is clear that by collecting the oil with a high boiling point and ensuring that it is large enough inside the bearing, engineers have largely secured the turbine from the traditional burnout-related problems, and it has ceased to depend on whether the DWF oil circulation system works or not. It turns out that in cars where such modern knots have been applied, turbotylmer has a somewhat different function-it merely ensures that the pressure system does not have a pressure after the engine stop. Where is the turboymer and how does it work?
Where is the turboymer and how does it work?
Due to the fact that the turboymer, on the one hand, is built into the electronic system of injection of a car, and on the other, it continues to operate after the engine is turned off, in the modern city it may be a very interesting from the point of view of hijackers. Due to the cost of a good car, leaving it with the engine on the street is not reasonable, so the turboymer is in most cases becoming part of the protection system of the car (and the available timer allows to use turbothymer and as part of the remote launch scheme).
In itself, this device is simple, and people familiar with electronics who do not have access to expensive imported devices have long learned how to make turboyomers on their own.
The main component of the design is time relay, which is widely used in household appliances-microwave, brass cupboards and others. It is enough to build such a relay in the ignition system so that the current of the lock is reached through its contacts and, in effect, the primitive turboymer is ready. To ensure that the relay does not serve as a vehicle for the hijackers, a different relays at the end of the specified time range are raised to the pair. Even by activating the first relay and putting a delay on it, the car without the key will not start, as the second relay will not be closed. If the scheme fails for some reason, it will not prevent the start by using the key, since both relays are "missing" and do not violate the original transaction.
In recent years, turbines have become increasingly popular in the automotive world and become the lot of not only the top sports versions of prestigious models. In a turbo-compressed engine with a higher compression ratio, the same amount of fuel injection into one cycle is more efficient, so turbo engines are installed everywhere. If you take diesel engines growing year from year to year, it is now more difficult to encounter a turbocharged modification than a supercharged and intelligent injection system. Naturally, all these numerous motors need to take turbothyymers, as there is no other way to solve the problem of "ventilating" turbines during parking.
