The rear suspension of BMW 1 first generation received the original CD-class rear underweight. Compared with the original two-part structure, it is characterized by a very precise definition of the position of an effective kinematic centre. As a result, the suspension provides excellent car dynamical properties. Interesting solutions are also being used in the front suspension structure. For example, a large number of elements have been made of aluminium, which ensures the reduction of unbroken masses.
