The automatic transmission of Mercedes Benz Class (W204) 7G-3 is distinguished by some features of the work. In automatic mode, it has seven gears for direct motion and two forward movements. At the same time, when operated in manual mode, the display shall display a maximum of six gears.
This is because in the basic options (without the AMG-package) of the full manual mode of the box on W204 is not-you can only choose a maximum transmission limit (1-2-3-4-5-6). To turn on the seventh gear, you need to put the lever in position D. If the AMG-package is installed, it is possible to switch all seven gears in manual mode.
