The common problem with the VAZ-2105 is the inability to turn on the first gear when the engine is shut off. However, all gear shall be switched on with the engine shut off. After the engine is started, it is not possible to switch to the second, and after the engine is stopped, the gear up to the field of clutch shall be switched off with difficulty or not at all.
Typically, these symptoms are indicative of two major breakdowns: the hydraulic coupling of the clutch or the deformation of the clutch disc. In the first case, the leak should be located and replaced by the defective part (the main or working cylinder of the clutch). If no leaks have been found, it is necessary to dismantle the ICPC and replace the disc and better-the entire clutch set.
