The Stall-Test is a simple method of checking the state of the ACPR in a BMW 3 E46 car (as well as other cars of this brand). This test determines engine speeds with the throttle control of the throttle completely exhausted and the car braked. Having obtained the values of these revolutions, it is possible to draw conclusions about the serviceability or defect of certain elements of ACPR.
An important point: performing Stell-Test should be an experienced car mechanic, without proper knowledge, you can cause significant damage to the gearbox!
