The purpose of the car heater, in other words "baking", is clear to everyone-the device is intended to keep the heat in the passenger compartment. However, the function of the heater is slightly more than the comfort and the stove is needed to keep the windows of the car warm. This situation arises not only in the winter but also in the spring, and in the autumn, when the task of the stove is reduced only to the solution of this kind of problem.

History of appearance

Before the car heaters were installed in the cars, the usual burgary bakers and gas lamps were installed. The first automnomes were born in 1917 in American cars. The cab was heated up from the exhaust pipe. In this way, for example, Ford A 1929 was heated.  Also, for the heat of the passenger compartment, you put an additional heat sink and fan assembly for it to be considered. For the first time, this heating system was used on General Motors ' vehicles. This pattern of heating has gradually been developed around the world.

In the USSR, the owners of the vehicles, in order not to freeze, did the openings in the partition between the cab and the engine compartment. It helped them in the most severe frosts.

Modern cars are heated by engine coolant.

How it works

The stove is designed to consist of a radiator, a pipe for the coolant, a flow controller, air ducts, a lock, a fan.

The heater heat sink is behind the front cover. Two tubes are attached that enter the coolant inside the radiator. This liquid circulates through pump (special pump) and by engine cooling system and by car heating system.

Heat transfer occurs when the engine heats up. The antifreeze is cooling the engine by taking heat from it. Hot antifreeze enters the radiator. The radiator is heated as a normal battery. At this time, the fan stove fan runs cold air through the heat sink. Again the heat exchange occurs: the radiator gives the air heat, and the air chilled the radiator. The warm air is blowing into the passenger compartment, and the chilled longing is again found in the engine and cooling it. Such a heating system is most common and effective.

In order to warm the cabin in the winter, the oven should be about 30 degrees. This temperature will not only warm the salon, but it will not make the glass sweat. The position of the airlock position on the dashboard adjusts the lock position. They send air streams to a certain side: face, legs, windshield. The flow direction of the windshield is almost constant. This is necessary in order to create excess pressure in the passenger compartment. At this pressure, the glazing does not sweat, and the dirt and dust will not get into the salon.

The kidney is an additional radiator. If the car is not warmed up, the system will be further cooled if the stove is turned on. Because of this, the heat radiator appears on the walls, and the engine has to warm up longer. Air humidity is also increasing, and the windows are sweating. Therefore, the oven must be switched on when the coolant has been heated to at least 50 degrees.

Type of heater

In addition to the liquid heaters, there are still wet heaters and air heaters. They are used as additional heaters.

In liquid electric heaters, electrical energy is used. Such a heater is like a regular quinquirer. But there are also more complex models. These include the battery charger and the timer. The main minus of these devices is the dependency on the power grid.

The principle of operation of air heaters is similar to the work of liquid. They only warm the air, not the liquid. These devices only heat the cockpit, the engine does not heat up. They have the advantage of less fuel consumption.

Operational issues

Usually there are no special difficulties with the repair of the heating system. Most often, it is enough to disassemble and clean parts of the system from pollution.

However, there are sometimes problems that require a more serious approach.

The most common causes of a stove malfunction are the radiator, the cranberries, the broken pump.

Owing to the failure of the puma, the engine cylinder head may lead to a reheating of the engine cylinder. Then there will be a need for a major overhaul of the engine.

If the heat sink has an incoming hose, it may be hot and the crank may have been broken. If the krone is in order, then you need to change the oven radiator. Over time, it is a boil and most likely a lot of it.

There might be an air traffic jam in the stove. This is because the tubes are very narrow, and the weak fluid flow cannot cork. To get rid of the cork, you need to warm up the engine. Then looser the hoses on the hose and gently pull it off the tube to make a small brush. She'll be able to get out through the air.

When dirt hits the radiator, the radiator starts rotting, and there is an unpleasant smell in the salon.

As any technique of baking requires timely inspection and repair.  Accordingly, the more the age of the car, the more carefully it is necessary to prepare it for the heating season.
