The oil pressure indicator on the apparatus of the car is red and its burnout means danger, like the red light signal, and it definitely requires a stop of the car. The main questions to be answered by motorists are the oil pressure lamp, and what needs to be done to correct the problem.

Burnout of the lamp is designed to decrease the pressure in the system less than 0.4 kg/cm, which signals the absence of oil pressure in the line and the start of the semi-dry frictional friction of all responsible engine connections.

Since the oil, in addition to its lubricating properties, is also responsible for the heat dissipation of the details, the pressure will increase dramatically when the pressure falls, and the state of the engine will be fast approaching critical. In addition, the overheated oil will lose its properties and will not be able to hold the oil wedge (the oil wedge) between the fumes even when the turnover is increased.

The causes of the oil pressure drop may be a few reasons to consider the most common: -Salt oil is not associated with viscosity;-Dirty oil, which is the opening of the transfer valve in the oil filter;-Elapse wear in the oil pump;-Confucius in the oil pump or its flange;-Problems with the pump inlet;-Defective wear at the indigenous pump;-Lower oil pump wear;-Extration of original liners due to small gap in assembly;-Lower oil pressure in the engine;-Lower oil pressure in the engine pan below the "minimum".

How do I troubleshoot a problem?

When using poor oil from an unknown manufacturer, the oil-pressure control lamp may be burned, as oil is not able to hold between the neck of the shaft and the liner (the oil wedge). The oil shall be replaced by the manufacturer's prescribed fuel, in accordance with the specified viscosity.

The opening of the valve in the oil filter is associated with severe oil contamination when the filter filter is so large that it is no longer able to skip the oil and the untreated oil through the valve goes to the friction nodes.  The measure is forced, because if you do not open the transfer valve, the engine will be left without oil and will be locked in a few minutes. Eliminates the replacement of oil and oil filter with the mandatory washing of the new oil filter with its subsequent replacement and refilling of new quality seasonal oil.

When the worn surface of the oil pump has reached the acceptable limits, it will no longer be able to provide the necessary pressure in the system. The pump shall be either restored or replaced.

In the case of a crack in the oil-pit or its flange, the pump begins to seize the air, and the cork does not allow the oil pump to create a certain pressure.  Eliminates the replacement of damaged parts or welding in the argon environment.

Failure of the reduction valve may be caused either by a foreign object under its ball or by a non-professional assembly when it remains in the open state. The defect shall be fixed by the cleaning, correct assembly and installation of the valve and its adjustment.

The Maslenos of the structure may have different type of drive: direct actuator-when installed on the "toe" of the crankcase (most modern engines with a belt in the GRM drive); by means of an intermediate berm (in the people "pig") through the front-connection (in the classic VAZ models, the so-called "fungus"), the chain (BMW) and other less common methods.

The wheel drive of the crankshaft is virtually inimable, as the suction pump is placed directly on the crankshaft and the pump can only stop working because of the end of the cap. When actuated by means of an intermediate shaft, the connection is made on the faces (small step), which are subject to wear and tear. The nose of the slits may be on the shaft of the pump and on the drive ("fungus"). When the pressure lamp is "cut", the lamp shall be flashed once the lamp is finally lit. Eliminates either the replacement of the shaft of the Mastonos, the most oil pump, or (in most cases) the replacement of the "fungus". The soapy transmission of the suction is usually regulated by the chain, in cases where it is severely exposed to excessive wear and the pressure drop and the ignition of the oil reference lamp may be possible. Eliminates the replacement of the chain or its tension setting.

The oil pressure monitoring lamp may be caused by the wear limit of the original crankshaft when the gap between the liner and the crankshaft is no longer able to hold the oil "wedge".  It shall be removed by dismantling the engine by means of a crankshaft shaft under the next repair and installation of new indigenous liners of this size.

In order to "reach" the next repair size (which reduces the resource of the crankshaft at once), it is necessary to acquire the oil of high viscosity. In doing so, avoid the use of locomodious oils, like MoU types (so much like many amateurs: moth, cheap and angrily), as they contain a large quantity of sulphur that is capable of crossing into sulphuric acid, causing damage to all parts of the engine. In any centres for the sale of oils, there is a so-called "problem oil" that has an increased viscosity, but is designed specifically for automotive engines.

The appearance of bullies in the indigenous crankshaft leads to the drop in oil pressure due to the unprofessional assembly-the small gaps in the assembly. The rapid deterioration of the indigenous liner may be caused by the poor repair of the crankshaft, when the recessive movement of the indigenous shelves exceeds 0.07-0.10 mm. It also leads to a drop in oil pressure.

The oil pressure test lamp may be triggered by a failure of the pressure sensor. It shall be checked by means of a mechanical sensor for actual engine pressure. Eliminates the replacement of the sensor.

The oil pressure control lamp may be caused by the oil cap (or its leak) when its "minimum" level falls below the "minimum" mark and the oil pump inlet is not able to take the necessary amount of oil. The same happens in a steep turn when there are no barriers in the pan that prevent the "rolling" of oil during the car's roll. An example of this is the first ZAZ 1102 Tavria, where the service annotation indicated that short-term pressure lamp is allowed. In the future, the partitions and the defect disappeared.

For whatever reason the oil pressure check lamp, the driver must immediately stop the car and try to find out why. If the problem cannot be resolved by its forces, the vehicle should be towed to the nearest STO because the burning lamp is dangerous and can lead to the engine.
