The modern car is equipped with a huge number of electronics parts. And each one of these things can get out of order for a variety of reasons. But all of them are at risk of damage, because of a short circuit in the wiring. Fuses are used to prevent this situation, as well as in many non-car electronic devices.  For convenience, all fuses are placed in one or two blocks.

Fuse blocks are usually two. One is in the engine compartment and the other is in the passenger compartment, most often to the left of the steering column for the steering panel. The fuse box may be located under the seat and in the luggage compartment.  In order to make it easier to determine the safety of a device on the back of the panel, a diagram is drawn on which the icons or names of different devices correspond to the location of the fuses. The same vehicle fuses differ in denomination expressed in Ampere. Depending on this, manufacturers use a variety of plastic colors. For example, the fuses of red colour are nominally 10 Amps, and say green-30 Amps.

In addition to the electrical circuit, there are also safety fuses in the block.

The most commonly used fuses are melting (knife). This fuse is wire alloy with lead or copper alloy. The wire shall be used to determine the maximum current value for which the fuse is intended to be used. The fuse is connected to the electrical cordocircuit of an instrument. The toke that fuels this device goes through the wire. With a sharp increase in the current with short circuit, the wire is instantly overheated and melted. As a result, the electrical circuit breakup and the corresponding instrument is being lost.

In addition to the disposable melting, the circuit breakers also encounter thermobaric fuses of multiple actions. Their device and the principle of action are included in their name. So, the design of the fuse is the two plates with silver contacts at the ends. One of the plates consists of the alloy of two metals with different properties. The elasticity of this plate allows the contact to be in a closed state. At this point, the contact goes current. In short circuit, the metabolic plate is overheated and bent. Accordingly, the contacts are blurred. When the plate is cooling off, it returns to its original position and the current starts again along the chain. Such a fuse shall be installed in the light-chain of the headlamps. Therefore, when it is activated, the light (flashing) will be part of its activation and the lights are heard in the cab. In this case, it is necessary to stop the car, identify and correct the malfunction.

In addition, there are fuses, a thermobaric plate in which, after the cold, it does not return to its original position. The fuse design is supplemented by a spring and button. The spring is holding the plate without letting it bend on its own. So in order to close the contacts after removing the device malfunction, you must press the button to release the spring.

Operational issues

The replacement of burned fuses is an uncunning thing, and any car enthusiasts can cope with it on their own. The fuse is removed by a special tweeel, which is most often secured directly in the fuse box. The burnished road safety switch shall be changed to new conductivity value.
