Virtually every motorist has ever had to call a tow truck. And most of the drivers have a rather vague idea of the technique that they are in a hurry to help-because the evacuators differ not only in carrying capacity, but also in the way of loading and installed equipment.  List of evacuators

List of evacuators

So, as mentioned above, the evacuators differ in the manner of loading, the installed equipment and the carrying capacity. List the main types of equipment used by Russian companies.

The first and most common type of tow truck are those equipped with a winch. Most often, such equipment is used to transport vehicles with a mass of 2 to 7 tons, less often for passenger cars. The installed winch may be electric, so manual or hydraulically-although the latter occur mainly in small towns and villages, and in companies operating in megacities, almost all the evacuators are equipped with electric winches. The loading is carried out in the following way-by means of the winch the car is drawn to the platform on the retractable "rails" (ramps). There are also cargo evacators from the winch and the sliding platform on the hydraulic cylinders-they deal with their case faster.

The second is a hydromanipulator tow truck. They are equipped with a manipulator crane which loads the car onto the platform. In order for the vehicle to remain in a horizontal position relative to the ground, the so-called traverse (grip) of the vehicle is a device which distributes the centre of gravity and does not allow the vehicle to become gravity.

Third, and the least common type of tow truck in our country is the one that has partially loaded the vehicle. They are equipped with a hydraulic mechanism to display the front or rear axle of the vehicle.

There are evacuators, which are "equipped" for all cases-they are equipped with a crane of a manipulator and a metal platform with a sliding ramp and a winch.

For general introduction, there are two other types of evacuators with whom, however, the owner of a passenger car is unlikely to be confronted. The first is a two-story tow truck and is used to transport two vehicles. The technical characteristic of this type of technique is that it is reinforced by the support frame-it allows the tow truck to remain stable on the road and to protect the car on the lower deck from damage. The second is motor vehicles, which are capable of transferring from 3 to 8 cars-they are most often used by transport companies to transport new cars.

Which recovery vehicle would be appropriate for a particular situation?

After getting acquainted with the types of evacuators, it is necessary to understand what equipment should be called in a particular situation?

We'll start by order. A swan with a winch is not suitable for an automatic gearbox, such a transport could damage the ACPR. That is why, in order to evacuate the incorrectly parked cars, traffic police officers use a technique with a crane manipulator. If the car is locked out of the wheel and the tow truck has come out of trouble, a special rolling cart is used.

A tow truck with a pointing crane is able to quickly rescue the vehicle from a ravine, a casket or a water body, and is harmless to vehicles with ACPR and those holding wheels. As mentioned above, such evacuators are equipped with wheel-taking. But there are also their underwater stones-first, the cranes of such tow trucks have a capacity limitation, and the driver of such a tow truck must have access to the cranes. Therefore, this type of conveyor is usually more expensive than those equipped with a winch.

The tow truck, which is partly loading the vehicle, is also useless to cars with ACPR and all four blocked wheels. The only advantage of this technique is that it is able to evacuate a vehicle from hard-to-reach locations such as tunnels or narrow parking.
