The Kaliber diesel engine is the development of Volkswagen, so many details come from German cars. The GRM-RME, according to the regulations, must be changed once in 150,000 km of mileage. However, the manufacturer recommends that you start monitoring the condition of the belt and rollers after 100,000 km of mileage.

Before you start, you need to let the machine cool, and then install it on the hoist or on the hole.

The first step is to disconnect the battery terminals and ensure free access to the belt by removing the cover from the engine and pulling off all the obstruction and patchwork.

The next step is to remove the belt-belt, tenable and rollers, remove the protective housing of the GRM-belt and prepare a special set of tools to replace the GRM-belt.

Using the key from the kit, you have to put the engine in the upper dead point. The first cylinder shall be in the compression stroke, and the ends of the cylinder shall be directed upwards. Next, anchor the locking tab in the gear rack so that the label on the gears is aligned with the anchor on the gear rack.

Now it is necessary to get the pins and fix both of the gears of distribution payers.

Now we need to remove the belt, three rollers, remove the water pump, leak the antifreeze.

In addition to the GRM remnant, it is recommended to replace the guide roller, the roller skate, the pressure roller, and the water pump.

The assembly is in reverse order. It is also better to change the belt and caster. The burden is most likely not to change.
