The vehicles produced in Russia had a number of differences, which were aimed at unproblematic operation of the machine in harsh Russian conditions. One difference is the air intake system. The air intake is not at the front of the bonnet as in the European version, but is located to the left of the air filter corp. The air intake has a complex shape with several sharp bends. This form of air intake is complicated by the "breathing" of the engine, which leads to failure of traction, especially in hot weather.

The most noticeable is the 1.8 litre engines due to low engine torque. To get rid of the failure, as well as a little increase in capacity, the air intake must be removed. To do this, remove the top part of the air filter box, remove the filter. Beneath it, there are the smores that need to be turned off. Remove the latch and remove the latch. Then, you need to install the airfilter and cover cover. The only drawback is a slightly more noisy engine operation at high speed.
