Self-balancing differential is the prerogative of sports cars, including those produced serially. Sometimes, the self-balancing differential is set in the tuning.
Self-balancing differential (s) can be divided into 2 groups:
1. Differential which is blocked by the difference in angular speeds of the semi-axis
2. Differential of a block torque absorbed by the quasi-torque axis
Two types of self-differentiating differential have also been identified by design:
1. Coamer or toothed, differential.
Thus, the half-axis is combined with either a jagged or a lulled pair. When the scuffle occurs, the differential is immediately blocked. This kind of differential is used on SUVs and military equipment.
2. Differential (Quaife, Torsen)
The satellite is located in a half-axis differential. The principle of their action is based on the property of the cosy or worm gear being blocked with a specific torque relation.
3. Differential in the design of which pumps and hydraulics applied. One or two pumps may be used to swap the liquid into the system. Such differential does not make it possible to achieve good terrain, but it helps to save fuel. Their main drawback is the complexity of the design and the high cost of repairs.
