The full-wheelers of Chevrolet Captiva are equipped with the ITSC with the intelligent torque distribution system produced by JTEC Japanese company (also installed on Opel Antara and Toyota RAV-4). The system consists of two couplers, an electromagnetic and hydraulic multi-disk control system.

The advantages of this design are the small weight of the node and rapid automatic reaction to changes in the road conditions. The torque distribution between 100:0 and 50:50 occurs in 0.1 second. In addition, the system provides a good fuel economy: in comparison with the front-wheel analogues, the 4x4 diesel engine with diesel engine spent on average only 0.3 l/100 km more.
