To replace the fuel pressure regulator on Opel Astra H, the intake manifold and the hoses of the crankcase ventilation system from the cylinder head cover must be removed. The inlet pipe of the duct hose shall then be removed for access. If the vehicle is equipped with a turbocharged engine, it is also necessary to disconnect the turbocharger inlet connection. After the pipe is removed, the pipe must be closed during the repair.
Before you remove the governor, you must reset the pressure in the feed system through the plaster that is used to connect the pressure gauge. A container must be prepared to collect the resulting fuel.
The next step is to disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator. The backbone of the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel rail pressure hoses must be relaxed and removed to remove the line.
Before dismounting the pressure regulator, mark the location where it was installed by using a marker.
In addition to the pressure regulator, all the sealing rings are to be replaced (the new rings must be covered with a thin layer of silicone lubrication), a vacuum line and a hamster. However, if the last two positions are in good condition, they are not required to change.
The assembly is in the reverse order. The moment of delay is 5 N/m2.
