After the contact is closed, the signal is sent to the ECU, after which the control unit will issue the command to turn on the heat sink fan assembly.

The fan enable sensor can be one-and two-speed. Most vehicles have sensors for one fan speed. They have one pair of contacts, which turn on the heat sink fan assembly. However, there are sensors that have two pairs of contacts and two fan speeds, respectively.

It is not difficult to find the radiator actuator for the heat sink fan. Carburetor models of the VAZ (2101, 2102, 2103, 2104, 2105, 2106, 2107 etc.) the fan activation sensor is located on the radiator on the left side of the movement. The failures that can occur in the VAZ fan actuator are shown with two main symptoms: the heat sink fan does not turn on or, conversely, does not shut down and is running continuously.

The check of the WAN fan-on sensor can easily be carried out at home with your hands. This requires only a capacity to heat water, a thermometer to measure the temperature of the water, and a multimeter. The procedure for the verification of the IVD shall be as follows:

1. Release the sensor on the fan to the water.

2. To contact the dachette to connect the terminals of the multimeter, which has been transferred to the omm mode.

3. To heat up the water up to 92-95 ° (the temperature of the sensor's actuation can be seen on its body), the sensor contacts shall be closed.

If you have verified that the fan is turned on, it is better to replace it. It's easy to do. The replacement of the fan transducer to the VAZ is carried out as follows:

1. Abandon the battery.

2. To cool the radiator with the coolant.

3. Remove the fan assembly connector.

4. Disposition the failing sensor and place a new sensor in its place.

5. Collect everything back without forgetting the antifreeze.
