The material sealing ring of the oil filter on the Chevrolet Spark is not intended for use at low temperature. The whole thing as a rubber-in the freezing cold it solidifies and loses its properties. The additional sealing of the ring with silicon auto-sealants with persistence from -50 to +300 is generally not helping to eliminate the leak.
To solve the problem, we need to extract the old seal from the oil filter. Cut a similar ring from the wet mast rubber using the old stencils. It can be cut from an old sapper, a cuff, a duster from domestic machinery or industrial equipment. Then, insert the cut ring in the canister and rotate it. The usual oil-resistant rubber is a little bit in the cold, but the elasticity is not lost.
