The base engine Chevrolet Niva-VAZ-2123 is adapted for use in modern conditions by the engine of the VAZ 21214 (Lada 4X4), that is, was crushed under a large volume of motor from "classic" VAZ. Hydroelectric compensators have been introduced to engine 2123 to support the permanent valve failure in the GRM facility. In order to be introduced into the engine, the details of the foreign production were used, which are quickly drawn from contact with the valves of the "classic" motors. When hydrocompensators are developed, they become the source of a cracking sound under the hood.
