One of the main reasons for the fall in power at Audi 100 with AAA engine is the depressurization of the turbocharged system. This is usually accompanied by a significant increase in fuel consumption. Common "problem" places are: A blubber or a torn membrane of the Westeit air filter, which is used for the air filter on the turbine.

- Holes in the hfra going from the air filter to the turbine.
- Rubber hoses and hose assemblies.
