In order to remove the electronic transmission lock on BMW 1 of the second generation, attention should be given to the following conditions: The unlock mechanism works only if the starter is running and the engine does not start. If the engine is to be released when the engine is turned on, the fuse of the fuel pump must be removed first. The mechanism is in effect for approximately 15 minutes. The mechanism shall be extended for an additional 15 minutes when the signal from the wheel speed sensor is signposted.

  • The unlock mechanism works only if the starter is running and the engine does not start. If you need to unlock when the engine starts, you must first remove the fuse of the fuel pump.
  • The mechanism has been in operation for approximately 15 minutes.
  • The time of operation of the mechanism is extended for another 15 minutes when the signal from the wheel velocity sensor is activated.

The emergency unlocking procedure is done in this way-including the ignition and the brake pedal (shall be kept throughout the process). We're pressing the start button. As soon as the starter works, press and hold the release button on the ACPR lever. Transfer the lever one step forward and hold it for exactly 2 seconds. Release the lever, repeat the procedure 2 more times, and leave it in the N position.
