The walking cold is an important mode in the operation of any engine. Normal idling speed of each motor vehicle (can be obtained from the instructions for the operation of the car), on average normal idle motor traffic is in the range 650 to 1000 rpm. However, there are cases where idle speed is not omitted and continues to be at 1500, 2000 and more rpm. In such a case, it is necessary to find the reason of idling speed too high and eliminate it.  High idle speed of a carburettor engine

High idle speed of a carburettor engine

If the idle speed does not fall on the engine, there may be several reasons:

1. Bad engine idle adjustment. It should be checked whether adjustments to the fuel mix are not exposed. If necessary, idle.

2. The carburetor air cap shall not open until the end.

3. The throttle cap of the first compartment of the carburettor shall be closed not to the end. This may be caused by a number of reasons: for example, the valve itself is deformed or the resulting transmission is not adjusted correctly.

4. In the floating chamber of the carburettor, a high level of fuel.

High idle speed of the injection engine

If the injection engine has idling speed, the problem should be found in the following directions:

1. Idling sensor (governor).

2. The throttle position sensor.

3. A return spring has been returned or the throttle of the throttle has been returned, which makes the throttle not returned to its original position.

4. Engine temperature sensor.

5. Intake air pump in the intake manifold (through non-contiguous pipes, rubber sealant or gasket).

At the same time, many car owners advise to start the search for faults with full throttle cleaning. In many cases, the problems of high idle speed are solved by this manipulation.
