Modern "machine" is a complex mechanism with "smart" electronic filling. If there are serious malfunctions in the work of the ACPR, the original "protective gear"-the gearbox goes to the emergency mode. The signs of transition to the emergency mode may vary, but the general characteristics of the symptom are: D-mode gear does not switch, the car "stupid" and does not pick up speed, the vibrations may be felt. LEDs are also lit (O/D OFF, Check AT, Check Engine, etc.).
For ACPR, the emergency mode is a sign of a serious malfunction, as well as the possibility to travel to the service without resorting to the services of a tow truck.
If the box is an emergency mode, the easiest thing you can do is shut down and then start the engine again. If the problem is gone, it's probably about speed sensors. If, after the re-launch, the ACPR went back into the emergency mode, it's a sure sign that it's time to go to diagnostics. Not only is the operation of the ACPR in an emergency mode causing a lot of inconvenience, it may cause serious breakdowns (and therefore expensive repairs).
Reasons for the transition of the ACPT to an emergency regime
All failures that could cause the machine to go to the emergency mode can be divided into three groups:
- Electronic malfunctions. The modern car is equipped with a huge number of sensors and other electronic components. In the case of a failed sensor, the oxidized contact or a broken wire may cause the transmission of the transmission to an emergency mode. Correspondingly, it is necessary to find the "weak link" and eliminate the problem in order to eliminate the reason for the transition to the emergency regime.
- Oil problems at the ACPR. The main varieties of this problem are surplus or lack of oil, as well as the wrong selection of transmission fluid. In either case, the control unit will move the box to the emergency mode. To correct this situation, it is necessary to fill the box with the oil appropriate to the factory tolerances.
- Mechanical problems. This is perhaps the most difficult and expensive type of repair. If ACPT received some mechanical damage, it will have to be dealt with for repair, and this job is better entrusted to professionals.
