The tread pattern on road tyres is not a decorative element, but a complex system of perch, which improves the grip of the wheels with the road surface. Most of the clutch is affected by the ability of the tyre to turn water, dirt or snow from the road surface. The tread pattern depends on the stability of the vehicle in the turns, the stopping distance, the noise level in the passenger compartment, the fuel consumption and the maximum safe speed.

The noise of tyres with a misplaced tyre in the general noise in the passenger compartment can provoke a heart attack

Types of tread patterns

The tread pattern depends not only on tyre seasonality but also on the type of road surface for which it is intended. The road surface is different and a tread pattern is suitable for each movement. In addition, each manufacturer, by developing a new model of the tyre, tries to solve the problem of improving grip with the road in its own way. Therefore, the appearance and structure of the image depend on the overall concept of the manufacturer's development department. This is why the drawings of all tyres of all manufacturers differ from each other.

There are two general categories of structure of the drawing-seasonality and purpose for a certain road surface. Splits the tyres with a summer, winter, and all-season drawing. There are tires and off-road tires. Also, depending on the type of coating, the tread pattern is directional, undirectional, and asymmetric.

Tyres with directional pattern

The vast majority of tyres are now being produced with a directional pattern, as passenger cars spend most of their lives on the pavement. The exceptions are the jeeps, but they are rarely put in the SUV, as it is easy to muse from the wet road at a speed of more than 100 kilometres per hour. Most often, the Land Cruiser or the Land Rover Discovery are busting tyres with a directional pattern and with a slight hint of off-road structure. The "hint" role performs a higher tread and a shadow on the side of the picture. On these tyres, the jeep travels along the highway as a normal passenger car, and can climb into the dirt.

The correct tread pattern can save two to three full fuel tanks per year

The projector dissipates the water from the contact point area so quickly that the efficiency is sufficient to reach the speed limit. What happens when the tread fails to handle water? The wheel does not condone with the asphalt, it is floating on the puddle. It's called aqua planning, and it's scary.

Any diagram that is either directed or undirected is symmetric and asymmetric. If you conditionally draw a line along the circumference of the cap, and if you want to draw the line on the right side of the line, the image on the left side of the image is symmetric. The asymmetric drawing consists of two different parts. Its application improves the versatility of the tires: one part (external, with "outside" marking) is designed to drive in the rain. Second, internal ("inside") -for dry coatings. You can install directed and, even more, asymmetric tyres in a direction only.

Tractor tyres with a picture of the "tree" are very much respected among the jepers. Surprisingly, tractor tyres-directional

The "Outside" or the arrow to which some manufacturers replace it shall be visible on a properly mounted wheel. If you set up these anti-directional tyres, you can "catch" the effect of aquascheduling even at very low speed.

Non-directional buses

The second type is an undirected image.  Sketches of this type are used on cars that do not speed up the high speed. Such vehicles are less and less every year. Even the traditional consumer of non-directional tires-UAZ-stopped to install them on their classic Hunter SUV.

Nendirectional tires are still in demand by the jeers, as the real mud rubber typically has an uncorrected image. This is a logical explanation-the Jeep stuck in the mud is vital to be able to move backwards while retaining the maximum grip. However, most fans of off-road sports have such tyres mounted on a separate set of discs in the garage, overtaken only for competitions. Tractor tyres with a picture of the "tree" are very much respected among the jepers. Its advantage is that the "check marks" in the picture are so rare that dirt, sand or gravel cannot be physically clogged between them. Surprisingly, these are tires.

There is also a tire tread pattern for off-road vehicles. Its design is that it has so-called "unloaders", which compaction the soft environment and thus provide sufficient adhesion to the surface.

Tread depth and value

In addition, there is another parameter-the depth of the tread, that is the depth of the "grooves". This parameter is normalized by road traffic regulations: for passenger cars, the tread depth shall be at least 1.6 millimetres, and for trucks and buses, 2 millimetres. It's about summer rubber. For European tyres, even a special TWI sign is introduced on the sidewall of the tyre-it shows the position of the residual height of the tread pattern in the main grooves. For snow tyres, the depth shall be at least 5 millimetres.

In order to determine when the tyre is inoperable, the tread pattern includes a so-called tyre wear indicator. It is a projection located in the "groans". Once the lid is washed up to its level, it cannot be exploited further.

Tyre Seasonality

The tread pattern is characterized by a larger number of grooves and ropes. This allows to get a large number of edges with active corners that improve driveability in the snow. The canvists and the lamagles cling to the snow for the snow. Therefore, unshirkable tyres in Russia are called "Velcro". The patterns in the tread pattern are often called lamagles. As a rule, the winter tyre surface is five times more lamagles than in the summer. There is almost always a few large central canapes in the winter pattern. They provide a rapid drainage of water and heavy snow. If there is no rope, the drawing of the winter tyre makes V-shaped. The exterior groans perform the same function successfully. Vee-shaped tyres are becoming increasingly popular with less traffic noise. Splinter tyres for defining hybrid and snow tyre mashups. They are most likely to encounter an asymmetric picture. The projector is divided into two or three lanes. This allows the bus to be optimized in different conditions.

Interesting facts about the tread pattern

Correctly taking tyres from the tread pattern and buying the products of the firms that are rightly considered to be the leading, the owner, according to the calculations of the American Statistical Office, saves from two to three full fuel tanks per year.

Few people know that riding in a car with a higher level of noise in the cabin causes one of 50 heart attacks. Buying quality tires makes it possible to significantly reduce this risk factor.

The new set of tyres must be "rolled back" before maximum speed can be reached. The fact is that the tyres are produced by casting the sheets in a form that is not covered by a special separator that does not allow the tyre to be attached to the form. This coating remains on the tyres and needs to be disposed of.
